Today we went to the "Hearst Castle". What an enormous home to live in. Kent and I really felt lost in it after living in our small "castle" for one year. The swimming pools were Olympic size I could just see our grand children swimming there and playing hide and seek in all those rooms. They had so many bedrooms for entertaining their guests, a lot of them were movie stars and famous people. They had they own maid and servants provided to them and they sometimes stayed for several weeks. It is divided into three different tours as it is so large. After taking one of the tours, I can understand why there are three of them. It is so large and beautiful, I can't imagine it being someone's home. It feels like a museum when you are walking around on the grounds. With all that money, elegance and toys, why would Patty Hearst resort to Bank robbery? Maybe she was a 1980's Paris Hilton who went a step further. (pictures)
