May 2 through May 9

Wednesday the 2nd We have arrived at our next stay at a lovely RV SKP's Park in Yuma, Arizona. We are going to stay here for a week or so. The park is pretty empty as the snowbirds have all gone home. We really enjoyed the pool to ourselves everyday. They have reverse osmosis water and we are sure enjoying that. Some of the water has a lot of minerals in and we don't care for it.
Friday the 4th We went to Algodones, Mexico for the day, our friends Cindy and Howie told us where to go, eat and shop. We ate at a small taco place that had the best shrimp tacos we have ever eaten. The locals come through with all their wares that they are trying to sell. (picture) The little children appealed to Sharon, some were so small to be wandering the streets. One little girl who looked barely 4 years old was so cute with her pretty dress and her hair done up. She had a basket full of gum they sell for a penny. Sharon gave her several quarters, and let her keep the gum. She was so cute how she clutched the money so tightly in her tiny hand until she could get her pretty little purse opened up. She was using all the charm she had and was doing much better than the little boy who was very shy and not as tidy and organized. Soon we had all kinds of little kids wanting to sell to Sharon.
Going through immigration to get across the border and going home takes longer than coming, but we left early before the rush started. It sure is a different way of life and I sure like our way in the "Good Old United States of America" the best.
Sunday the 6th Today is our first wedding anniversary! The year sure went fast with all the traveling and changes we have made in our lives. We spent the day at home swimming and playing around, we went out for dinner that night and that was our big day!
Monday 7th Back to Mexico today for more shrimp tacos and shopping for some of the pottery for our 5th wheel. (Picture) Tuesday was a work day (cleaning @ laundry) and Wednesday we went to the casino for breakfast and our paid entertainment. We are leaving tomorrow for Palm Springs.
