August 1st

Friday 1st~~~ This morning Kent took the truck to have the oil changed and Sharon stayed home to write on the blog. Our friend Don Jones from West Yellowstone drove down to visit us, he and Kent did some touring of the town and some shopping while Sharon and Pepsi took an afternoon nap. That evening Kent, Sharon and Don went out for a great rib dinner together and spent some time visiting and catching up. Sunday 3rd~~~ There are very few campgrounds between Bozeman and Miles City, Montana, leaving us with no choices as where to stay. After massive searching, we found a campground in Forsyth, Montana, we drove about 230 miles before we stopped there. We had no hookups except 30 amp. electricity but that was fine as we are self contained. After we ate dinner, we took a tour around the town and enjoyed a stop at "Dairy Queen" for a Peanut buster parfait. The town is small but has a lot of motels and small restaurants in it. We asked why so many for such a small town, we were told the railroad uses a lot of rooms as Forsyth is a switch over station and the people visiting the mine near here. The only thing to take a picture of was an old caboose from a train that Sharon took because Bodie (her Grandson) loves trains. We are headed for Dickinson, North Dakota in the morning.
