March 12 through 15, 2009

Thursday 12~~~~ Today we drove to Indio, California, it is so warm here we had to put our shorts on immediately, such a change from Las Vegas. It was windy and sort of chilly most of the time we were there, it was a lot warmer than back home, but not what we like. We are here to see our friends from Pierre, South Dakota who are out here doing a check up for Reube's cancer. They are in Palm Springs staying with their daughter Brenda who is a big help to them with their medical appointments. We will go there tomorrow and visit all day. Friday 13~~~~ Wow!!! What a warm day it is here today, we both wore our shorts to Palm Springs and we arrived there about 11:30, we all went out back to Brenda's beautiful back yard with the beautiful pool and hot tub and lots of patio furniture. We spent the entire afternoon there visiting and drinking cold drinks, Brenda taught Sharon how to make the best Bloody Marys!!! Their son Brian from Washington was there also, so we got to catch up on him and his Taxidermy business. (Picture) The parrot still likes Kent and he played with it a lot, no one but Brenda holds him, because he is so mean and really bites you hard. Sharon came home missing a chunk of skin and a pinch mark on the other side of one of her fingers. It really hurt. That silly bird doesn't like very many people, but he sure likes Kent a lot!
