Thursday 1~~~~~Kent and I drove to Mexico this morning for lunch, some meds and a couple of bottles of Tequila. We had a great lunch again at our favorite place. The shrimp tacos are the best ever, you haven't enjoyed a taco until you eat one in Mexico. The line coming back across the border was kind of long, so we were tired and ready to sit and watch television tonight.
Friday 2~~~~I decided to have Kent drop me off at the church (St. Frances of Assisi) so I could spend the day observing the Good Friday services. I packed myself a sack lunch and I took some reading that I have wanted to read during the Holy week. The stations of the cross was at 12 noon followed by a rosary, after this I went to the beautiful courtyard and sat in the warm sun to eat my lunch. At 1:30 the Divine Mercy Novena began in the theater, followed by another rosary in the church. At 3:00 PM they had the Celebration of our Lord's passion. I called Kent when it was all over with, about 4:30, to pick me up. Kent had the 5th wheel washed and waxed while I was gone today. There is a Hispanic man and his crew do a lot of trailer washing in the park for the tenants there. Their prices are very affordable and the park gives them a lot of business. (picture of them doing our friends trailer) We went out for dinner when Kent picked me up at 5:00. Cyndi and Howie came over and we played cards one more time as we are leaving in the morning for Palm Springs. I had a wonderful day at the church today, doing something I always wanted to do all the years I worked. Saturday 3~~~~~We arrived in Palm Springs about 4:30, we went to the park where we had reservations and we found out they had no cell service in the park, only in the laundry room. That means no computer or phone, so we couldn't stay there because we have to have our phones and computer every day. We drove to their sister park 5 miles down the road and we registered there. It is a lovely park, with one of the nicest swimming pools that is heated by a natural spring, making it so nice and warm and healthy for your body. You can see the stripes on the concrete around the pool from the lattice above areas of the pool and around it to shade areas of the water. (pictures) They have a lovely pool side Bistro where we had a great lunch one day and the prices were only $4,99 each. (pictures) Kent walked back to our trailer one day to get our cell phones and came back with a delicious lunch he made for us. We usually spend about 4 hours at the pool each day, playing in the water and reading our books. It has shaded areas over some of the water and we just float with our noodles visiting with John and Marianne some friends we made at the pool. There are 4 very large (18 people) Jacuzzi at the pool and one of them is under cover for the non sun people and some are shaded depending at the time of day. The neat thing is they are heated by the natural spring water that is fresh water coming in all the time.
