Monday 26~~~~~ We drove into town to spend our days off in town and to help Tress with the kids and some meals with her laid up with bunion surgery. Her Dr. doesn't want her to use her foot for 3 weeks, so we all help her what we can. Breanna had her high school graduation party tonight for the Luke families. She started it out at a Sushi restaurant (her favorite) and finishing it up at her house for pie and homemade ice cream. Kent and I don't care for Sushi, but we went and tried several things. It was kind of cool how they do it. You sit at the counter on stools and the different sushi dishes go rolling by on a Stainless steel conveyor belt and you take off what ever you like to eat. It is on different colored dishes and when you are done, they charge you by the color and how many dishes you have in front of you. It was a fun experience and we did find a few things we liked. so we were glad we went.

Sunday 18~~~ Today was a hard day of work in the park , I hauled recycle the last three days and today was another full afternoon of hauling more, there were less sites to clean, as people are on vacation now staying for longer periods of time, but more wood to sell and recycle to pick up. We still love our jobs and enjoy the people soooooooo much!! We drove into town tonight to find our house pretty warm from being shut up all week. We had Blaize spend the night with us, as her brother Bodie is camping all week with his Grandpa Luke. Monday 19~~~~ Kent went to Portland to visit his friend Cary who is in the hospital and I kept Blaize here for another night with us, I made her a bed on the floor beside our bed. She liked that a lot, she and all her stuffed animals. Tuesday 20~~~~I went to the beauty salon and had Nancy give me a hair cut, while I visited with the girls. We set up a date to have dinner and a card party at my house on August ninth, we did it last December and had a lot of fun. We still have fun together catching us on the latest in each other's lives. I also spent the afternoon with Thresa helping her, I cooked a huge pot of my Italian pasta dish I make for Kent so often. We ate dinner with them and we froze half of it for another meal for Cory or Tress to warm up some night for an easy meal by just cooking the noodles, I made her a huge salad to last all week also. Wednesday 21~~~~Tonight Kent called Ranger Dan and asked him if he wanted us to do the "Star Gazing" show we started doing in the ball field of the park on Wednesday nights. The park received 4 huge telescopes for this program from the government and our Ranger Dan who does this show had a family emergency and wasn't able to do it. The hardest part of doing it was taking them apart, hauling the telescopes over to the ball park and putting them back together there and after the show, taking them apart again and hauling them back to the office and putting them together again. It was a lot of fun and everyone really enjoyed using them, the moon was so bright that it made star gazing real hard, but the people from the park really enjoyed seeing the moon so bright and up so close with all the craters on it. We had about 25 adults and 10 to 12 children at our class, so we were happy we did it for Dan. (Pictures) Thursday 22~~~~~Tonight Lisa, Gene and Ray drove to Mill City to eat Pizza with us at the pizza parlor here. It is the one they really like and stop at whenever they go up the mountain snow mobiling. They stopped at our camp to see where we live and we visited until well after dark. They left us with a goody bag of fresh corn on the cob, peaches and blue berries, what a delightful surprise. I showed Ray how bright the stars are in the skyup here in the mountains on my Droid and how it finds them by name. It really gets dark here in the park when the sun goes down, the stars are so beautiful because there is no light in the park with the exception of a few lanterns and the campfires.

Monday 12~~~~~ We came into town last night and I picked up Bodie my grandson and took him home to our house to spend the night. Kent drove up to Portland to spend the day and Bodie and I spent the day walking and exploring new thing in town. He is a great hiker and loves to look at old houses and churches in town. Tuesday 13~~~~Our friend Gary drove down from Portland this morning and after I took Bodie home, the three of us drove to the Casino for lunch and some fun on the slots and Keno. We came home about 4 o'clock, Kent and Gary took off for Fisherman's Bend Park, stopping at Kent's favorite drive-inn for burgers and fries on the way. I finished up a few things I needed to do at the house and then I drove over to Pam and Jeff's house to see how the new addition on the house was coming along. It is just beautiful, all new kitchen with all new appliances, I wish it were my kitchen. I then drove my car out to the park, it was quite dark when I got there, I just made it before they closed the main gate at 10 o'clock. We had a nice visit with Gary and he slept on our hide a bed. Wednesday 14~~~~ We were up early this morning to do our jobs, Kent went to the office to help with the morning campers that arrive early for a space while Gary wandered around a little until Kent came home. I fixed us a big breakfast and then Kent and Gary drove around the park and looked at things and Kent cleaned a couple of sites before leaving for the office at noon. Gary and I drove around in the golf cart and I cleaned the rest of the sites, we also ran some errands for Kent in the office, putting up occupied signs on some sites and getting some signatures on some paper work. Gary left around 4PM and I watched television until time to pick up Kent from the office. My daughter Thresa had bunion surgery this morning, so I called her a few times checking in on her. Cory is off work all week to take care of her, so she is in good hands. Saturday 17~~~~Today it was such a beautiful day here, the swimming hole was full of kids and their parents in the water. I helped with the children's program in the Educational center where we had a class on the solar system. We had a large group of very smart children who knew a lot about all the planets and were eager to learn more. Our group leader led the class and I helped her by handing out all the supplies for the children to make their project. We had a sheet of paper with all the planets and their size and names and the children used white play dough to make into balls and color them the colors the planets are supposed to be, finishing them up by gluing them on the paper. The smallest planet was to be about the size of an eraser on a pencil, finishing up with the largest one being the size of a quarter. You can imaging the size some of them made the planets, they like things BIG!!!! As they were working, our instructor told them how long or many years it would take to get to a planet using driving a car as an example. They really had fun and they sure kept me busy sharing all the colored markers and glue amongst them. They were really creative when drawing the earth and the ring around Saturn.

Thursday 1~~~~~It rained all night last night and we woke up to more rain this morning. I don't like cleaning sites in the rain as my hair gets damp and curly. Kent worked in the office 1 till 5 PM, so I cleaned sites alone and I actually enjoy doing them alone, taking my time to enjoy the beauty of the park and talking to the guests. Kent does a great job in the office, I sure hear a lot of people calling him on the radio with problems and such. I get to carry our radio and hear all the chatter amongst the host in the park, I need it so the office can call me to put up signs in the reserved sites and to call in the sites I have cleaned. I always get done early and go home and watch TV or drive into Mill City and pick up Kent a frappe chino, it is only one mile away. Friday 2~~~~ More rain today, I like being inside where it is warm and cozy watching the rain come down. The park is about full already with the 4th of July on Sunday. Sunday 4~~~~Today was an easy day as no one is leaving the park until tomorrow morning and we will be on our two days off and will miss cleaning all those sites!!! LOL It doesn't seem like the 4th of July staying here. We are normally real busy on this holiday with our kids, Kent's girls always go to the beach and mine go camping except Tress and Cory, they do fireworks at their house after a big BBQ dinner. We didn't go into town tonight as we thought there might be a few problems in the park and they might need us. We could have left, as there was no excitement or problems in the park.

Monday 28~~~~~We drove into Salem this morning to meet with the plumber and contractor at the house to see what the damage is on the water situation. They thought they would have to cut a hole in the ceiling to get to the pipes, but the contractor figured out the plumbing was in the outside crawl space and that was a relief as my whole basement is finished and that would have been a real mess. We are hoping that by running the dehumidifier 24---7 it will take out the moisture that ran into the basement. Pamela and I went shopping in the afternoon for some new clothes for her. (picture) She has a job with Albertson's in Eugene and she has most of the money she has earned in the bank, so she wanted to spend some of her money here shopping with her Bunika. (Grandma) She is going to stay in town with her cousins when Kent and I go back to the park tomorrow. Tuesday 29~~~Kent went up to Portland today, and I worked in my yard cleaning out flower beds and I also did some cleaning in the basement. There is always so much to do when I come to town and I also baked a yummy white cake with white frosting. I sure do like to bake and we don't need the calories, but I do it anyway. LOL Wednesday 30~~~~ There was a potluck at the camp ground at noon today. I had seven sites to clean before noon in between cooking the hot dish I am taking to the potluck. Kent was working in the office, so I had no help from him. I made a dish of (Hot)Italian ground sausage browned with 2 cans of chille, one cup of salsa and 8 oz. of cream cheese; I add this to cooked bow tie noodles. It is a pretty easy and good tasting dish for a pot luck. The park furnished the hamburgers and hot dogs and there was a lot of desserts, and hot dishes. We sure enjoyed all the good food. I was glad I had all my work done before dinner, as I was to full to do much after dinner. Shelby and Pamela stopped to see us in the afternoon, they were up to the Norwood place on the Little North Fork River, playing in the sun and water. We got our wood shed today, so now we can sell wood to the campers in our loop. YEH!!!!!!!!! (pictures)
