January 27 through 30, 2011

Thursday 27~~~~We drove to Laughlin, Nevada today, arriving about 2:00 PM. We are parked on the 5th level where we can see the city and casino lights real good at night. We have our chairs set out behind our camper and we sit out there and read. It is so quiet up here, it is sunny and warm with a nice breeze blowing and a perfect place to relax and read. I finished reading the "Upstairs at the White House" book to Kent and I had started the book, "Hansel and Gretel" a book about two children escaping the Nazi concentration camps and the Jews. It was sort of small print and hard to read, so I suggested Kent read it while we are here in Laughlin. He got so involved in the book, all I had to do to find him was go outside and there he was sitting in the sun reading the book. He finished it in 3 days and now I have to find him another book. LOL Saturday 29~~~ Today is Pammy's birthday, I called her and she told me she had a card party last night to celebrate hers, Thresa and Jean Marie's January birthdays. They had 3 tables of card players, I sure hate to miss those card parties. She and Jeff went to the casino this afternoon, that is what Kent and I did tonight after we went to Mass, we picked up a pizza and ate it at home. We walked over to the casino where we spent a couple of hours on the slots. We played until we were tired of playing, we came home with $25 more than what we started with. Tomorrow we are going to the "Avi " Casino that is a few miles from here, Kent likes their buffet and the casino.
