Britt, Iowa

     
       We drove to the town of Britt, Iowa today with  our friends we are traveling with. There was an annual  HoBo convention their this week end and Kent being the fan of the Ho Bo 's since he was a little boy wanted to go back one more time to see what they do there. We got there and found out the HO Bo convention wasn't on Sunday, we were disappointed but we enjoyed the antique car show that was on main street. The Guys enjoyed seeing and talking about when they had some of those cars. they were beautiful
         In the town of Britt there is a real big old house that was built by a banker,  Mr. Armstrong. He wanted his house to be the biggest and best in town  There is another house in town that is very big also and it had one towers on it and  Mr Armstrong told his carpenter to make two towers on his house, we wanted to be the biggest and best. The house is a museum now and we thought we would finish our trip to Britt, Iowa by touring the big house. We drove there to find the house was closed for the day. We were very disappointed we couldn't tour the house, but I took a few pictures. Our trip to Britt was a little disappointing with the Hobo convention over and the Armstrong house closed, but we had a good time anyway. on the drive home we took a different highway and we went by a very large beautiful lake called Crystal Lake. I took a picture of a monument there of a big bullhead fish.
We went home and we played fast track with John and Linda. Us girls did much better this time.
