Wednesday August 10, 2016 We spent last night in Springfield, Illinois where we went out for dinner to a Pub named Wayfair where they have the great food that we ate on our way through here to Nashville. They make the best lasagna I have ever ate and a salad and french bread for $10 Our friends ate the cob salad in a very large bowl with grilled steak, hard boiled eggs and the rest of things that come on a salad and Lots of french bread. From here we went back to the fair grounds where we are spending the night. The state fair is on right now and the campground is full of 4Hers and their families. Lots of livestock and golf carts. It was a happy reminder of my 4H club I was the leader of for many years in South Dakota and all the state fairs we entered. We won so many ribbons and a lot of them were Purple, all the fun the kids had when they got to go to the State fair where they entered their entries to be judged.

Auugust 09, 2016 The Olympics are on the TV and is interesting to watch. I am happy to see Michael Phelps doing so good. He really cleaned up his act and is doing so good with his life. I hope he continues to good things and raises his child to be proud of him and maybe be can coach him to be an Olympic swimmer too.
August 10, 2016 We are in Moscow, Iowa getting levelers put on the Navion. We had them on our other unit and they really made our parking more enjoyable. Without them, when we stop for the night we have to level the unit by Sharon putting a level on the kitchen counter and guessing how many blocks to drive the motor home up on. We could have them put on back home but we think it is best to have them put on by the people who manufacture the levelers. We arrived early today and we found two parking spaces with electricity open, we put out cones for our friends John and Linda to save them a space as they are a few miles behind us. This place is a very busy and they sometimes don't have enough sites with electricity for all the RV's that are finishing up their work and then the people like us who come in early to get a spot with electricity.
August 11, 2016 The sky is getting very black and I think a storm is on its way. They have a waiting room with TV, coffee and snacks and a big table and chairs to visit and work on computers. I worked all day trying to get this blog up to date from my notes I write everyday. They finished getting the Jacks on early so we went to a produce stand that we had been to before and hoped they would have some good produce [WRONG] , then on to an old fashion Ice Cream Parlor, It had real neat old booths and the furniture was real vintage. The ice cream server had only 4 kinds of ice-cream and the cones were so small, they were the size of a kiddy cone if that, the price said $2.50 and he charged us $3.00. The ice cream was very good but too small. It was called KEMPS ice cream. The produce stand and the Ice Cream Parlor was a real disappointment. After the Ice Cream Parlor we went to the Worlds Largest Truck stop. I took some pictures of all the services they offer the truckers, especially the Dentists and the public library and the movie theatre. Just another place full of neat things to spend money on. It is probably good the truckers to shop in. Back to the shop where we had our levelers put on for the night. The sky is getting very dark and the weather doesn't look good. I think we will get more rain and thunder, I remember growing up in South Dakota when I was little, it scared me to death, especially the big booms of thunder. Jan was always the brave one and I was always afraid and hid my head under the covers. Kent keeps a close watch on the computer for the storm warnings, especially the tornadoes they are so famous for in this part of the country. I was so tired, I went to bed early and Kent stayed up and watched the lightning and the hard rain coming down. The mechanic showed Kent where the tornado shelter is, earlier in the day, in case it gets bad. Kent went to bed and his phone woke him up with a flash flood warning, he got up and looked at his I Pad to see if a tornado was coming, and I slept through it all. It continued to rain most of the night. We are leaving Moscow in the morning because they finished putting our levelers on today and we are all done here and are heading back to Forest City, Iowa to the Winnebago plant in the morning to have the work redone that they did a couple of weeks ago. I hope there aren't so many people there this time. John and Linda will be there also, and we can play fast track and maybe us girls will win all the games.
