Tuesday May 15~~~~Today is the day we check in at Fisherman's Bed park where we will be Camp Hosts again this year. My asthma and cold is still bad, and I really don't feel like going today, but duty calls and we are committed. We arrived at the park about 2PM and for some reason, we had a terrible time getting the 5th wheel level. When you plan to stay in one place for 3 months, you want it perfectly level. I think it was because I didn't feel good and wasn't my usual perky self and I wasn't thinking good. I am the level expert and Kent is the driver and it works good that way. After we finally got it level, Kent went to hook up our dish Network and found someone had discovered the PVC pipe he had buried with our cable the last two years was missing, someone had dug it up and took the 20 some feet of cable and threw the PVC pipe into the shrubs. Our site is rented as a regular site when we are not hosting here and why someone would find it and do that is crazy. Kent had another long piece if cable, so we were soon done setting up and settled in watching TV and eating dinner.
Wednesday May 16~~~~Today is Kent's 70th birthday and he doesn't look a day over 60 I think. Our friends Cyndi and Howie in Yuma have a NuWave infrared oven grill that sits on the counter that cooks so good, Kent has been looking at them in the stores, so I surprised him with one for his birthday. This grill will cook a 10# frozen turkey in 2 and 1/2 hours. We buy so much turkey lunch meat, we are looking forward to cooking a turkey in our new grill. Cyndi likes her grill because she always forgets to thaw out meat and you can cook it frozen so fast in this grill and the flavor and juices are great. We baked one of our frozen apple pies that Kent bought on Groupon and it was soooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!! We baked it frozen and it was great. Wednesday May 17~~~~~The mice are real bad this year we were told, so Kent put steel wool in all the places one might try and get in today. Someone gave the park a beautiful multi colored cat who is said to be a real mouser who has 3 little baby kittens and they live up in the office compound where all of us go to sort recycle, do laundry and all kinds of things. We all stop and play with the kitties and pet the mommie and see that they are fed and watered good.We are finding home for the two female kittens and we are going to keep the little orange male one. Khrystal named him "Magellan" because he is such an explorer. They are so fun and so tiny to play with and hold. I fixed BBQ ribs (frozen) tonight on the top rack and I fixed one half of a squash and some sliced baked potatoes in a dish in the bottom, I put it all in at one time and it was so easy and good. My kitchen didn't even get dirty.
